Every five minutes someone in the UK dies from a lung condition. Despite this, respiratory research continues to be severely underfunded. This isn’t good enough.
At Asthma + Lung UK we are determined to convince government, funders and industry that this needs to change. It was great to see the Government prioritise lung research in its Life Science Vision in 2021, however more needs to be done. We want to see public investment triple over the next five years to reach our goal of £150 million a year.
